On June 26, 2018, the 5th Executive Council and Member Conference of the Liquid Crystal Branch of the China Optics and Optoelectronics Industry Association (LCB COEMA) was grandly held in Shanghai. Wang Weiwei, Director General of the Electronics Department of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, Wang Lin, Secretary General of the China Optical Optoelectronics Industry Association, Wang Dongsheng, Chairman of the LCD Branch of the Optical Optoelectronics Industry Association and Chairman of BOE Group, Liang Xinqing, Executive Vice Chairman and Secretary General, Yuan Tong, Secretary General of the China Electronic Materials Association, and experts in the display industry, as well as leaders of various companies in the display industry, gathered together to attend this conference.

At the meeting, Wang Dongsheng, the chairman of the association and the chairman of BOE Group, delivered a speech, and Vice Secretary General Hu Chunming made a summary of the work in 2017 and made prospects for the work plan in 2018. The main content of the meeting includes the proposal of Shijiazhuang Chengzhi Yonghua Display Materials Co., Ltd. to serve as the executive vice chairman unit of the association, which was unanimously approved by all council units through applause. Mr. Wang Kui, General Manager of Chengzhi Yonghua, spoke on behalf of the company, saying: "Chengzhi Yonghua has been deeply rooted in the display materials industry for more than 30 years. Throughout the process of LCD material localization, it has spared no effort to contribute its own strength. In the future, Chengzhi Yonghua will continue to uphold the Tsinghua LCD industry, take social dedication as its responsibility, never forget the original intention of display material localization, and make due contributions to the LCD association, the display industry, and even national rejuvenation!

”Subsequently, specialized reports and training were conducted by each committee. Secretary General Wang Lin of the China Optics and Optoelectronics Industry Association and Secretary General Liang Xinqing of the Liquid Crystal Branch delivered important speeches respectively. Director Wang Weiwei of the Electronics Department of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology made a concluding speech. The meeting ended successfully in a friendly and warm atmosphere.

The Liquid Crystal Branch of China Optical and Optoelectronic Industry Association is a secondary association under the China Optical and Optoelectronic Industry Association, under the leadership of the competent department, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology. The branch was established in July 1996 and currently has nearly 300 members distributed throughout China, mainly including large and medium-sized LCD display manufacturers, main and auxiliary material manufacturers, specialized equipment manufacturers, research institutions, and higher education institutions.
